Simcic
This winery is situated in Ceglo (Zegla), a small village in the region of Goriska Brda, by the Slovene-Italian border, by the Italian hills of Collio, Half of the vineyards lie in Slovenia and half in Italy. The winery was started in 1860 by Anton Simcic who bought a farm in Medana and began winegrowing and winemaking. In 1988, his son Marijan took over and remodeled the winery by building a new and modern wine cellar which created the perfect condition for producing high quality wines.
